The Fear of Intimacy and the Desire to Connect

Our independent life-styles promise emotional freedom and relational fulfillment.
However, in our practice we are more and more also confronted with the expressions of the Fear of Intimacy, although the person longs for connection and closeness.
That is why I want to focus this Supervision on these topics, so that you can support your clients in navigating these emotional states with more grounding, ease and creativity.
• Understand of the underlying roots of the Fear of Intimacy - and how to overcome them.
• Learn how to regulate a person’s nervous system when they feel overwhelmed by the thought or in the actual moments of sharing intimacy.
• Learn how to establish a safe inner ground and the expression of healthy boundaries.
• Learn ways to open and change internalized negative Self-Images that prevent authentic sharing.
• Learn ways to regulate and even enjoy closeness by ‘discovering’ intimacy.
Possibly most of you have touched on these topics with your clients or possibly also in your own life, so I trust that this will be another deeply meaningful exploration and Supervision meeting.
Place: Zagreb (exact location will be given).
Teaching Fee: Euro 138.- (6 hours of accredited Group Supervision)
(Euro 23.- for each Group-Supervision hour. The EABP acceptance requires 150 hours of Supervision; one hour of Group-Supervision counts the same as one hour of individual Supervision! Seminar must be taken and paid in full).
